Wilma L.Vanourney, 75, died Monday, March 18, 2013 at St. Lukes Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 22nd, 2013 at the Oxford United Methodist Church with Reverend Diane Townsley presiding. Burial will be in Blaine Cemetery near Swisher. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Wilma was born July 18, 1937 in Oxford, the daughter of William Owen and Lillian Elizabeth (Biggs) Edwards. She graduated from Oxford High School as valedictorian. Wilma married Robert L. Vanourney on September 4, 1955 in Oxford. For many years she worked at the Amana Arts Guild in High Amana. She enjoyed quilting, going to auctions, antiquing, canning and cooking. Wilma is survived by her children Becky (Mark) Winistorfer of Lisbon, Barbara Mrazek of Cedar Rapids, and Bruce Vanourney of Swisher; a grandson Aaron (Darci) Slager of Ft. Worth, Texas; her granddaughters Samantha Mrazek and Vanessa Drew both of Cedar Rapids; a great-granddaughter Aubrey Stratton of Cedar Rapids; as well as dear close friend Dick Terrell of Swisher. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob on November 16, 1996, four sisters Dorothy Edwards, Patricia Bigelow, Martha Hoffman, and Mary Jeck.
