Wilma Elaine Heidtke, 87, of Austin, MN died Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday September 12, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Austin, MN. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin. Brosh Chapel in Solon is assisting the family. Wilma was born February 19, 1924 to the parents of Otto and Lottie (Bly) Heidtke. She married Erwin Lawrence Gill on June 6th, 1944 in Spring Valley, MN. They moved to Austin and Wilma worked at Hormel for a few years before giving birth to her two children. After the birth of her kids, Wilma stayed home to raise them. Once the kids were raised Wilma went back to work for the Austin Community School district as a cook. Wilma loved to give to others, bake, crochet, make kitchen towels, washcloths and most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and close friends. Since April of this year, Wilma lived with her daughter in Solon and then in July she moved to Emerson Point in Iowa City. She is survived by a son; Phillip (Linda) and their daughter Emily Gill, a daughter; Debra (Paul) Miller and their children Valerie (Greg) Michek, Katie (David) Falco, Natalie Miller, Nathan Miller and Austin Miller. Great grandchildren; Ashton, Nolan and Jaycee Michek, Dominic and Jillian Falco, and a special friend Rita Heyer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother George Heidtke, a sister Doris Renslow and special friend Martin Heyer.
