Willis "Willie" R. Parks, 77, of Atkins, died Sunday, October 18, 2015 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy following a short illness. Per his request, there will be no formal services. Inurnment will take place at Kingswood Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio at a later date. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is serving the family. Survivors include his children Willis "Bobby" (Tammy) Parks Jr and Roberta (Eddie) Roth; a nephew Rick (Joddi) Stoneburner and a niece Debby Sivak as well as his great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, three brothers, and a sister Martha Lawrence. Willie was born June 11, 1938 in Marion, Ohio, the son of Lloyd H. and Vynila M. (Bilger) Parks. He married Carol J. Richardson. He worked as an insurance adjuster for many years. While living in Atkins he loved riding his golf cart around looking at wildlife on the nature trails.
