William Rodger Woodburn, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021.  As per the family's wishes private Celebration of Life services will be held.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids are in charge of arrangements.

William (Bill) was born March 1, 1943 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Rodger and Elizabeth (Bessie) Woodburn.  He graduated from Riverdale High School in Port Byron, Illinois and served four years in the Marine Corps.  Bill was united in marriage to Lana Lee Hartz on July 7, 1963.  They had four children.  They later divorced.  Bill spent his adult life working in the restaurant industry, most recently Willy Woodburns Café which he co-owned with his longtime partner Linda Pochabradsky.

Bill is survived by his children Jeff (Dawn) Woodburn of Marion, Tim (Kristina) Woodburn of Rochester, MN, Pat (Kim) Woodburn of North Liberty and Amy (Jay) Sauser of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren, Lindsey (Thomas) Oakdale, MN, Emily, Franklin, TN, Mackenzie (David), West Liberty, IA, Kristin, Marion, IA, Madison, North Liberty, IA, Taylor (Kaleb), Cedar Rapids, IA, Tanner, St. Paul, MN, Jacob, Marion, IA and Parker, Cedar Rapids, IA; five great grandchildren Lucia and Luca, West Liberty, IA, Rowin and Maren, Oakdale, MN and Malcolm, Cedar Rapids; brothers Robert (Peggy) Woodburn, Sparta, WI and Bruce (Judy) Woodburn, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by Linda and his parents.
