William George Walter Jr., 66 of 415 C Avenue NW died Friday, November 3, 2006 at his home from complications of cancer.   Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.  Burial will follow in Cedar Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.

William was born February 10, 1940 in Iowa City, the son of William Sr. and Mary Pilcher Walter.  Bill lived in California and Las Vegas for many years.  He had a real passion for flying and electronics.  He earned his private pilot license and could work on all sorts of electronics.

Bill is survived by his son William Walter III of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a daughter Linda Welp of Marion; his mother Mary of Cedar Rapids; a sister Karen (David) Kroeger and nephews David, Eric and Andy Kroeger all of Marion.  He was preceded in death by his father.
