William T. Myers Sr., 65 of Shellsburg, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital. A Memorial Gathering for Bill will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2012 at The Avacentre at Brosh Chapel, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW, Cedar Rapids. In honor of Bill's military service, the Shellsburg American Legion will conduct full military rites at 7 p.m. Monday at The Avacentre. A private family inurnment will be held in Czech National Cemetery. Bill is survived by his wife of over 41 years, Brenda, his son Bill III (Missy), daughter Brandie (Martin), daughters Tammy and Cindy, and son Jamie. Along with his children's spouses, his brothers and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, and stepbrother. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brenda Myers. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Luke's Hospital for their support.
