Wilford John Green, age 79, of Iowa City and formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023, in Iowa City. Wil was born on December 26, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Wilford and Lillian Green.  A private family inurnment will be held in Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids are in charge of arrangements.

Wil graduated from Jefferson High School in 1962. Following high school, he attended the University of Iowa for two years. He then joined the US Army where he served for three years in Germany as a Sergeant, earning National Defense Service Metal Sharpshooter and Good Conduct medals.

Wil started his professional career in local hospitals and finished as an IT project manager, retiring from National Computer Systems. Wil was proceeded in death by his parents and brothers Jim and Larry. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Judi and was the uncle of Troy, Trent, and Trisha along with their eight children.
