Waldens William, 48, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation will be from 11 a.m until 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Celebration of Life services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Brosh Chapel. Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery.
Waldens was born October 14, 1973, in Pohnpei, Micronesia, the son of Joseph William and Nieves Henry. He graduated from Pics High School in Pohnpei. Waldens was united in marriage to Merlina Primo. He enjoyed playing sports, including basketball, baseball, paddling, and volleyball, and most of all spending time with his family.
Waldens is survived by his wife Merlina; his children Daisy Leen Rosario, Carla Primo, Marsha Jacob, and Praesha Nakamura; his grandchildren Stanley, Stephen, Luca, Damian, Brian Jr. "B.J.", and Hezron; his siblings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Friland.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
