Virginia Ann Miltner, 96, of Solon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023. There will be a 2 p.m. parish vigil on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, followed by visitation until 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon is in charge of arrangements.
Virginia was born April 17, 1927, in Charles City, the daughter of Charles and Marie (Krob) Scott. She graduated from Charles City High School. Virginia was united in marriage to Max Robert Miltner on February 17, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. She worked as a hostess for Brosh Chapel in Solon for over twenty-five years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, reading, and most of all spending time with her family, especially the grandkids.
Virginia is survived by her children Scott (Judi) Miltner, Michael (Rita) Miltner, Teri Haines, Curt (Sue) Miltner and Mark (Barb) Miltner; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law Delores Krall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Miltner, her son-in-law Lynn Haines, brothers-in-law Russell Krall, Jack (Geraldine) Lynch and Jack (Bernice) Miltner.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Agrace Hospice or Camp Courageous.
