Vinnie Alberta Drafahl, 99 of Solon, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the Solon Retirement Village.  Celebration of life gathering will be from 10 a.m until 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 South Cedar Street with burial to follow in Coralville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.  A full obituary for Vinnie will be available at www.broshchapel.com

Vinnie was born February 27, 1916 in Wapello, the daughter of Harvey and Sarah (Houtz) Reid.  She was united in marriage to Arnold Noble in 1932.  They raised seven children.  Arnold died in 1985.  In 1959, Vinnie was married to Roland Drafahl.    Throughout the years, she worked at the Burlington Ordinance Plant, Muscatine Lutheran Home, Oakdale, University of Iowa and retired from Aero Rentals in 2004.  She enjoyed being around people and having fun.  She loved to dance, traveling and seeing new things, cooking and fishing.  The time spent with her family was very special to her.

Vinnie is survived by her children Wayne (Delores) Noble and Roger (Darlene) Noble both of Wapello, Pauline (Bill) Woodring of Williamsburg, Patsy Howard (Jim Long) of Muscatine, Ruth Ann Burk (Dick Jepsen) of Denison and Joyce (Larry) Milliman of Solon; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-two great-greatchildren; and four great-greatgrandchildren.

Vinnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roland who died in 1984, a son Dean Noble,  as well as her six sisters and three brothers.
