Veronica Johnson-Browning, 51, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Homegoing Services will be held 12 noon on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre. Private family inurnment will be at a later date Oak Hill Cemetery with her brother.

Veronica was born on June 30, 1974, in Mobile, Alabama, the daughter of Ida Johnson. She enjoyed bingo, visiting the casino, following local law enforcement, taking care of people and most of all spending time with her loving extended family.

Veronica is survived by her mother Ida Johnson; her children Jasondra (George) Stevens, Nataysha West, LaKricia Browning (Brandyn), David Wayne Browning Jr. (Zyanna), Davon Browning and Zion Johnson; her grandchildren Lawrence, Mea, Malachi, Ava ,Elena, Eliza, Marquise, Blakely and Zynecia; as well as her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers OG Bobby Johnson and Ervin Browning, grandparents Eddie and Annie Mae Johnson, former father-in-law “Uncle Brother” Browning, beloved cousins, aunt Anna Lou Sanders, and special friend Sheila Cruse.
