Travis John Hurley, 36, of Cedar Rapids, died unexpectedly May 12, 2023, in Waubeek, Iowa from an underlying heart condition.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Travis was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Russell and Wendy on November 2nd, 1986.  He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 2005.

Travis enjoyed video games, spending time with friends, and being outdoors. He loved and adored his daughter, Gracelynn, and was happiest when they were together. He loved to spend their time together fishing and going to the movies.

Travis will be remembered for his kind heart and infectious laugh and will be deeply missed by many.

Travis is survived by his daughter, Gracelynn, his mother Wendy, step father David, and siblings Russ (Marcy), Brian, Angie, and LeeAnn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Hurley, Jr., brother Jamie Hurley, and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
