Timothy Alan Ross, 49 of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, October 04, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Iowa City.   Celebration of life services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery, where full military rites will be conducted.  Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Brosh Chapel.

Tim was born May 7, 1967 in Cedar Rapids, the son of David and Dorothy (Leake) Ross.  He attended Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School and then joined the United States Army. Tim was a medic and served during Desert Storm. He worked for the City of Cedar Rapids and Water Department.  Tim was involved in training Australian cattle dogs for competition and earned many awards.  He was a member of the VFW Post 788 and the AMVETS. He enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and Kansas City Chiefs, and spending time with his friends, family, and his dog, Zoey.

Tim is survived by his sons; Chris Ross and David Ross of Cedar Rapids; one grandson Kallin Ross; and close family friends Dick Nemec and Ken Cameron of Cedar Rapids.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents.
