Timothy Lee Knight, 69, of Hiawatha, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, in his home, from a brief illness.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, with Reverend Dr. Daniel Knight, presiding. Military rites will be conducted by the Iowa Honor Guard.  Private family inurnment will be at a later date.

Timothy was born April 6, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, the youngest son of Ernest and Ruth (Dose) Knight.  He graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School, class of 1972.  Later he attended York College in Nebraska, until he joined the United States Army for three years.  He worked for over twenty years at Hy-Vee, in Storm Lake and Cedar Rapids, and later retired from Lowe's.  Tim enjoyed watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers, as well as visiting with his many friends at local establishments in Cedar Rapids.

Tim is survived by his siblings Gene, Paul, Dean (Suzanne), Michael (Kathleen), Patrick (Diana), Daniel (Vickie), and Dennis Knight; sister-in-law Dotti Knight; as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen, sisters-in-law Paula, Kay, and Diana Knight.
