Timothy moved to Cedar Rapids Iowa in 1992 with his family. He became a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where his father pastored until retiring. He went on to attended Kirkwood Community College for psychology. Timothy has always been family-oriented and loved being a father to his 10 children and a grandfather to his 7 grandchildren. Timothy has always been a hard worker. He loved doing manual labor because he loved to see the finished product. Timothy was always looking out for everybody around him and made sure they were taken care of. He would always open his home to help out anyone in need and always lent a helping hand. Timothy met his wife Brenda in 1995 and they were married in 2005. Timothy was always the life of the party and made sure everybody was together he was the glue to his family, the jokester of them all, and always made everybody smile and laugh. Timothy would always say I love you to everybody especially people on the street that he did not know just to show his kindness. He was the type of person that would take his shirt off his back to give to somebody or give his last dollar to somebody so he knew that they would have something to eat. He would always be looking out for other people more than himself that's just the type of man he was. And he would always tell his children to do better than he did and learn from his mistakes. Timothy was a man of God and always loved to spread the word and would make people listen to him when he'd speak even if they didn't want to hear him. And in the infamous words that Timothy would always say "One Love"!

Timothy was preceded in death by his father James Cook Sr., his grandparents, and brothers Lonnie Jordan IV, Mark Jordan, Jeremy Jordan, Gary Cook.
