Thomas J. Weaver, 55 lost his battle with metastatic melanoma in his home on August 9, 2010. A Celebration of the life Tom loved – boating, riding his Harleys and traveling to the Caribbean will be held on Thursday, August 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Tom was a strong, quiet man who took great pride in everything he did from his home to his work. But he was gentle and kind and at the same time. He worked for Midwest Glazing since September 1999 installing commercial windows and doors after working several years at Walford Feed and Grain.

Born on October 6, 1954 at Travis AFB in California . He is survived by his loving wife Sindy of 30 years; parents William and Catherine (Fisher) Weaver of Kissimmee, Florida; daughter Cher (Kurt) Stephenson of Cedar Rapids; grandson Cody Weaver-Rawson of Cedar Rapids; sisters Cathie (Nick) Poindexter of Lancaster, California and Jennifer Bucken of Orlando, Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at Fairfax Savings Bank.
