Thomas J. Shaheen, 62 of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House following a long illness.  Per his wishes there will be no services. Brosh Chapel and The Avacenter in Cedar Rapids is caring for Thomas and his family.

Thomas was born January 28, 1955 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Donald Leroy and Delores Ann (Skaff) Shaheen. He graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids in 1973. He owned and operated Deli and Brew and Steaks by Thomas for many years. He loved the outdoors, spending time at his cabin with his dog Ruby, enjoyed the casinos and playing cards (for money).

Thomas is survived by his brother Drew Shaheen of Arvada, CO; sisters Dionne (Bill) Pinckney and Tracey Shaheen of Cedar Rapids; nephews Blake (Naomi), Jordan (Aubree), and Adam (Sydney) Pinckney; great niece Kya Pinckney and great nephew Caber Pinckney; and his special Aunt Jeanette Kellerman of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
