Thomas D. Barrow, 62 of Ely, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at home.  Services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids with Rev. Fred Darbonne of First Christian Church presiding.  Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery.   Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and for an hour prior to services Friday at Brosh Chapel.

Tom was born January 1, 1944 in Paris, Tennessee the son of Elmer and Mary Nell Stockdale Barrow.  He married Arlene Marie Spores December 2, 1963 in Tipton.  Tom owned and operated Tom's Autobody for over 25 years.   He had a real zest for life, which included his cars, family and sense of humor.

Tom is survived by his wife Arlene; a daughter Kimberly Kay (Terry) Walztoni of Cedar Rapids; two sons Thomas D. (Jeanice) Barrow Jr., and Marcus Allen (Rachael) Barrow both of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren Ashley, Josh, Justin, Jordan, and Meggan; brothers Jimmy (Pom) of Sherwood, Arkansas, Neldon of Plover, Wisconsin, and Michael of Cedar Rapids; and his cousin and best friend Wayne Garvey of Topeka, Kansas.

Tom was preceded into death by his parents.
