Theresa Ann Johnson Boudreau, 54 of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. Theresa was born September 19, 1959 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Fred and Darlene (Dalecky) Johnson. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School. She was united in marriage to Gary Merkel in Roswell, Georgia. He died on June 3, 1993. She married Bob Boudreau on November 22, 2004 in Shellsburg. Theresa lived and worked in Atlanta for over 17 years until returning to Iowa where she worked at the Eastern Iowa Airport. She enjoyed going to casinos, traveling, and having a good time with friends. The time spent with her nieces and nephews, and her granddaughter Ellena were moments she cherished. Theresa is survived by her son Justin Johnson of Cedar Rapids; siblings Tim (Jill) Johnson of Shellsburg, Tina (Shawn) Lillie and Tammy Johnson both of Shellsburg, and Trudy (Gerard) Wagner of Cedar Rapids; one granddaughter Ellena Johnson; her parents Fred Johnson of Shellsburg and Darlene Johnson of Cedar Rapids; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, uncles and her husband Gary Merkel. Memorials may be directed to the family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Mercy Medical Center for their loving care for Theresa over the past few years.
