Theodore "Ted" Everett Huffer Jr., 74 of Solon died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at his home.  Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 25 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the Chapel.  A private family inurnment will be in Sulek Cemetery near Shueyville.
Ted was born August 3, 1932 in Trenton, Missouri the son of Theodore and Jessie Mae Nolan Huffer Sr.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was discharged as a sergeant.  Ted married Darlene Cornwell on February 26, 1955 in Trenton, Missouri.  He worked for over 43 years at Penford until his retirement in 1995.  He was a member of the American Federation of Grain Millers Local 100 and was the union president from 1980-1990.  He was a very avid bowler and pinochle card player.  He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends and listening to country music.
Ted is survived by his children Everett (Lisa) Huffer, Sharon Huffer all of Cedar Rapids, Garry Huffer of Solon, and Dennis (Shelly) Huffer of Alburnett; six grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife Darlene who died December 16, 2000.
