Thaddy Reen Woods, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away in her home on Thursday, June 18, 2026. Homegoing Services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Thaddy was born on September 18, 1937, in Tupelo, Mississippi., the daughter of Melvin and Cornelius (Hewitt) Lindsey.

Thaddy is survived by her sons George (Betty) Ratliff, Antonio (Harriett) Watkins, Nathanial Watkins, and Terry Woods; daughters Josie (Mike) Taylor, and Corrissia (Terry) Bryant; two sisters Georgia Bennett and Rosetta (Veasey) Taylor; her brother Perry (Kathy) Harris; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Cornelius (Hewitt) Lindsey; stepfather George Harris; her husband Clark Woods; brothers Melvin Lindsey and Roy Harris; daughter and son-in-law Judy and Obie Dixon; and granddaughter Coco Nicole Bryant.
