Terry Hardin of Hopkinton, Iowa passed on to his eternal Hardin Garden Party on November 23rd, 2025, after an extended illness. Memorial Mass will be held 11 am Saturday, November 29, 2025, at St. Luke Catholic Church in Hopkinton. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025, at the church. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids are assisting the family at this time.

Terry was born on January 19th, 1951 to Glen D. & Esther (Klaren) Hardin in Maquoketa, Iowa. He graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School Class of 1969. After graduating, Terry enlisted in the US Army Reserve until 1976. He married Deborah Huber in 1973 and to this union 4 children were born. Terry was employed most of his adult life at Cuckler Buildings which later transitioned to Star Manufacturing until his health dictated otherwise. It was there that he made some of the very best lifelong friends, most of whom he kept in touch with through the years. He was proud to be a member of American Legion Post 311 and Delhi/Hopkinton Knights of Columbus.

The pride & joy of Terry's life were his children, grandchildren, and most recently Great Grandchildren who are left to honor his memory (through their impeccable senses of humor… which they got from him). They are Molly (Stan) Franzenburg of Monticello, Jeremiah Hardin & Nora (Patrick) Billmeyer of Hopkinton & Hannah Hardin (Spencer Davis) of Winterset, Iowa; Grandchildren Madison (Nathan), Connor (Kaci) & Lydia (Jeremy) Franzenburg of Monticello, Khloe (Trevor) & Brogan Hardin, Izabella Heffernan, Lylah & Max Billmeyer, and Tillie, Haddie & Everett Davis and Great Grandchildren Lena Hinrichs & Collins Franzenburg; and his brothers Glen Hardin Jr. if Peosta, Iowa & Robert Hardin of San Diego, California.

Welcoming him home to Heaven are his wife of 42 years Deborah Ann Hardin, Parents Glen & Esther Hardin, in-laws Geraldine & Patrick Huber, brother John (Jack) Hardin, sister Debra Hardin and infant brother Richard Hardin.

Memorials may be directed to Hopkinton Ambulance Service or Hopkinton American Legion Post 311. The family would like to extend their most heartfelt appreciation to his  care team at St. Luke's Heart Care Clinic, Above & Beyond Hospice, Hopkinton Ambulance, Julie Kemp & all of our friends, neighbors, community members & especially the 69'ers who checked in & loved Terry so fervently through his life. If there was one thing he'd ask of all who knew & loved him, it would be to remember him with a chuckle because life's too short not to spend your time laughing.
