Teresa Lynn Cooling, 50, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Thursday October 18, 2012 at Mercy Hospital Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2012 at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 S. Cedar Street. Teresa was born on May 30, 1962 in Cedar Rapids to Darrell and Joann (Thompson) Van Winkle. She graduated form Washington High School in 1980. Teresa married Richard Cooling in 1991. She was very active in the karaoke community over the past 5 years. Teresa loved spending time at her boat house and spending time with her harbor friends. Teresa is survived by her husband Rich, daughters; Christi (Blake) Anderson, Chelsea Cooling, Cheyanna Cooling, grandchildren; Aiden, Adrianna, Ava, a brother Rod (Janet) Van Winkle and several aunts/uncles, nephews and cousins. Teresa was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
