Susan Kay Kopecky, 71, of Solon, died Thursday, June 9, 2016 at St. Luke's

Hospital following a short illness. Celebration of Life Services will be

10:30 am. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Brosh Chapel and the Avacentre in

Solon. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4

to 7 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2016 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in

Solon.

Susan was born September 25, 1944 in Crookston, Minnesota, the daughter of

Milton and Viola (Woodstrom) Lyngholm.  Susan was united in marriage to

Leonard Kopecky on November 6, 1965 in Crookston, Minnesota.  Susan raised

her family and later worked at Benton Community Schools and Rockwell

Collins.  She enjoyed fishing, watching the Vikings, playing with her dog

Mandi, wintering in Arizona, and most of all spending time with her

family.

Susan is survived by her husband of 50 years, Len; her daughter Michelle

(Wayne) Holm of Solon; her son Matthew (Tracey) Kopecky of Holmen,

Wisconsin; five grandchildren Taylor, Caitlin and Carson Kopecky and

Morgan and Maddie Holm; her brother David (JoAnn) Lyngholm of Electric

City, Washington; and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Lyngholm of Plano, Texas.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Larry Lyngholm.
