Shirley Ann Paulsen, 71, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Celebration of Life service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Private family burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Newhall.

Shirley was born on May 1, 1953, in Vinton, the daughter of Delbert and Elaine (Bierschenk) Paulsen.  Shirley was associated with the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.  She firmly believed in the Bible's hope of a resurrection and a time when sickness and death will be no more. Shirley was loved and will be missed by many.

Shirley is survived by her brother Dan Paulsen; her sister Joyce Wendt and her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
