Sheryl Irene Mills, 85, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in her home. Celebration of life gathering will from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW in Cedar Rapids.

Sheryl was born on February 20, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Archie and Albia (Pavlicek) Douda.   She graduated from Wilson High School.  Sheryl was united in marriage to Gordon Mills on May 7, 1980.  She worked at Rockwell Collins for many years until retiring and following at Hy-Vee Johnson for a few years.  She enjoyed roller skating, baking, occasionally visiting the casino, and most of all spending time with her family.

Sheryl is survived by her daughter Lorene (Michael) Davis; son James Kuehl; grandchildren Tabitha Hackman, Kira Lewis, Jacob (Arielle) Lewis, and Wyatt Lewis; great grandchildren Tyrek, Trevor, Teagan, Tanner, Shalia, Jace, and Madison; great-greatgrandchildren Harper, Gia, Millie, Stella, Wrenleigh, Watson, Isla, Kyrell, Aria and Wyatt Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, her siblings Roland and Arlan.
