Sara was born February 28, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Claire and Kathryn (Hulse) Stewart. Sara married Mark Votroubek and together they made their home in the Cedar Rapids area where they started a family with two sons, Brent and Spencer. Later, Sara was remarried to Larry Crain, also in Cedar Rapids. Sara spent six years of her adult career as Director of Human Resources for Iowa Health Physicians and eight years as Vice President of Human Resources for the Iowa Health System. Sara was very devoted to her career and loved the people that she worked with. When Sara was away from the office she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and hosting parties or get togethers with close friends and family. She also had an eye for fashion and loved to shop. Among her many possessions the two most important things in her life were her sons, Brent and Spencer. She loved watching them grow up, traveling together, and celebrating the important things in life. Sara is survived by her sons Brent (Carissa) Votroubek and Spencer Votroubek both of Cedar Rapids; her parents Claire and Kathy Stewart of Columbus, Ohio; her brother Claire (Patti) Stewart of St. Louis, Missouri and James (Gerilynn) Stewart of Dublin, Ohio; one niece Kara Stewart and one nephew Blake Stewart both of Dublin, Ohio.
