Sandra "Sandy" Kay Cejka, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Hiawatha Care Center. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2021, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery.  Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Brosh Chapel.

Sandy was born October 1, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John W. and Anna (Divis) Urban. Sandy was united in marriage to Arthur Cejka on May 6, 1967, in Marion. She worked for a Cedar Rapids Washington High School for over four years, and later Frank Magids Associates for many years. Sandy enjoyed life, occasionally going to the casino, reading books, crossword puzzles, Friday lunches with her granddaughter, playing Yahtzee, and most of all spending time with her family.

Sandy is survived by her husband Arthur; her children Randy Cejka, Michelle Cejka, and Holly Stahr all of Cedar Rapids; her granddaughter Kelsi Cejka; her sister Shirley Ferguson of Cedar Rapids; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gerald Urban and her nephew Mike Ferguson.
