Rose Ulch, 94 of Solon, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 17, 2014, at the Solon Nursing Care Center. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2014 at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 South Cedar Street. Burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Family will greet guests from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Brosh Chapel. Rose was born February 17, 1920 in Illinois, the daughter of Alois and Frances (Adam) Rozinek. The family moved to rural Solon where she attended Big Grove #7 Country school and graduated from Solon High School. Rose married Eddie Ulch on October 17, 1947, at The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua; they were married over 60 years. Rose helped Eddie on the families Dairy Farm. She enjoyed accompanying Eddie and his band "The Jolly Bohemians." Rose was a lifelong member of the Solon community and helped Eddie in the preservation of the historic Stone Academy. She also enjoyed gardening, baking kolaches, playing cards, the Sunday crossword puzzle, sneaking in a few words of Bohemie when the time was right, and spending time with family. Rose is survived by her three sons, Gary (Donna) of Mount Vernon, Joe (Cindy) of Winnemuca, Nevada, and Tim of Solon; Her four grandchildren, Kerri Ulch and Ty Ulch, both of Mount Vernon, Will (Megan) Ulch of Harrisburg, Oregon, and Jancy Ulch of Winnemuca, Nevada; Her great-grandchildren, Sydney and Brody Ulch of Mount Vernon; and her sister, Marie Kroul of Solon; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her parents; her husband, Eddie; eight brothers, Joseph, Lois, Victor, George, Frank, Paul, Charles and James; and two sisters, Millie Krob and Libbie Stahle. Rose will be greatly missed by those who knew her. The family would like to give a special Thank You to all of the staff at the Solon Nursing Care Center. A memorial in Rose's honor has been established.
