Ronald Lee Sebetka, 59 of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at his home from a brief illness.  As per Ron's wishes there will be no services.  A private inurnment will be held in St. Johns Cemetery.

Ron was born October 11, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Frank and Dorothy Matus Sebetka Jr.  He served in the U. S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.  Ron married Sandra K. Trout on October 5, 1972 in Iowa City.  He worked for many years as a locomotive engineer for CRANDIC.  He loved spending time with family, especially spoiling the nieces and nephews.  He was a very kind and loveable man and he will greatly be missed.

Ron is survived by his wife Sandy, a brother Robert (Patty) Sebetka of Cedar Rapids; thirteen nieces and nephews, his aunts, as well as numerous cousins.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a twin brother Donald and a brother Frank III, and his beloved dogs Cookie and Ashley.
