Ronald Dean Mitchell, 44 of Cedar Rapids , died Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 7 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids and for an hour prior to services Monday at the chapel

Ron was born October 8, 1966 in Cedar Rapids , the son of Lee and Beverly (Butterfield) Mitchell. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1985. Ron worked at Square D for over twenty six years. He enjoyed snow and water skiing, boating, watching NASCAR. Ron was a loving and caring father to his children. He will be greatly missed.

Ron is survived by his children Derek and Skylar Mitchell; his parents Lee and Bev Mitchell; a brother Jeff (Angie) Mitchell; a sister Wendy (Mike) Daugherty; a nephew Nick and a niece Sarah Daugherty.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial fund will be established in his name for his children Derek and Skylar.
