Ronald E. Gilson, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, June 11, 2020 at St. Lukes Hospital.  As per Ron's wishes, private family services will be held.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids are in charge of Ron's arrangements.

Ronald was born June 23, 1939.  He was united in marriage to Doris Shima and have been together for over 48 years.   He served in the United States Army.  Ron worked at Cherry-Burrell for many years.  He enjoyed fishing, and being outdoors.

Ron is survived by his wife; his step-children Scott Pospisil and Julie Lavrenz; and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings.
