Robert Wes Zamastil, 82, of Swisher, died on March 29, 2018, in his home.  A celebration of life will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel.

Robert was born July 18, 1936, in rural Fairfax, the son of Wes and Emma Zamastil.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  He worked at Gee Construction for many years, until he began farming.  Robert enjoyed watching birds, gardening and flowers, as well as his time spent farming.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Fairfax American Legion in his name.
