Robert Lee Yuza, 63, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 28th at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Private family inurnment will be in Czech National Cemetery at a later date. Following the Celebration, there will be a gathering at Sykora's Bakery in honor of Bob. Robert was born March 6, 1949 in Cedar Rapids, the son of John Lester and Lorraine Anne (Blazek) Yuza. He graduated from Jefferson High School. He married Josephine Burkart on July 24, 1993. Bob worked for many years at Williamsburg Mfg until his retirement. Bob enjoyed boating, genealogy, wood working, and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Bob is survived by his wife Josephine; his children Charlotte (Ben) Yuza, Angela Yuza, Laura (Rob) Shearer, Marcie (Todd) Reckinger, Stephanie Yuza, Psalms Bryan, and Sarah Bryan; 12 grandchildren Ashely (Julio) Gomez, Aurora (Bob) Inman, Rachelanne Yuza, Jessica (Landon) Ried, Adam Burkart, Justina Cook, Amber Cook, Samantha Reckinger, Melya Bounds, Kyla Yuza, Megan Shearer, Emma Shearer; four great-grandchildren Leanna, Aiden, Ethan and Dwayne, as well as two more on the way; a sister Carol (Dennis) Sindelar of Cedar Rapids; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother John Wesley Yuza. Memorials may be directed to the family.
