Robert W. Wildfield Sr., 80 of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital after a sudden illness.  Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2007 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids with Rev. Glenn Hunt presiding.  Full military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 788.  Burial will follow in Anderson Cemetery, Swisher.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.

Robert was born July 2, 1927 in Chicago, the son of Jacob and Jeanette (Vande Werken) Wildfield.   He worked for Wilson-Farmstead Foods as a traffic manager before his retirement.

Robert is survived by his sons Robert (Connie) Wildfield Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Kenneth Wildfield of Fort Myers, FL; his daughters Valerie (Kenneth) Statton, Nancy (Jim) Wade all of Oklahoma City, OK, and Caryle Wildfield of Boston, Mass.; four grandchildren Daniel and John Wade, Kevin and Christopher Statton; a brother Jacob Richard Wildfield of Cape Coral, FL; and his ex-wife Nancy Perry Wildfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mildred Austin.

A memorial fund has been established in his name.
