Robert George McAllister, 79, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on February 8, 2026. He was born on September 12, 1946, and attended high school in Shellsburg. He proudly made his living as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy; his parents, Robert and Eleanor; and his beloved grandparents, Reuben and Helen Senft.

He is survived by his children: Jeff (Denise), Stacy, Doug (Hope), Jennifer (Jim), and Michael (Jamie); his stepchildren Amy (John) and David (Jody); his sister, Donna; his significant other, Betty; and many cherished grandchildren.

He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events, country western dancing, watching the Hawkeyes, and taking Sunday drives any day of the week.

As per Robert's wishes, private family inurnment will be in Palo Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, February 13, 2026, at Wild Hogs Saloon in Walford.
