Robert "Bob" Bernard Brown, 76, died Wednesday, June 8 in his home. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 13 at Blessed John XXIII Catholic Church with Fr. Dustin Vu presiding. Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 12 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Bob was born July 20, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Bernard Charles and Ethel (Keegan) Brown. He married Dorothy Easterday on July 8, 1955 in Cedar Rapids. Bob worked for Rockwell Collins for many years until his retirement. Bob enjoyed camping, spending winters in Texas, the Cubs and Hawkeyes. His love was watching and being involved with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 56 years Dorothy; children Matthew (Tammy) Brown of Monticello, Michael (Tracy) Brown of North Liberty, Carie (Stephen) Kramer of Altoona, and Mark (Jackie) Brown of Cedar Rapids; 5 grandchildren Shalain, Kourtney, Colin, Morgan, and Joseph; his sisters Jean Brown of Cedar Rapids and Marilyn (Bill) Wolfe of Urbana. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson Troy Brown. Memorials may be directed to family.
