Robert Bibbs Sr., 71 of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, February 18, 2008 at his home. As per Robert's wishes, there will be no services.
Robert was born October 6, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. He enjoyed and got great joy from entertaining people during his career with The Drifters from 1961 to 2003.
Robert is survived by his wife Celeste Sanders, his children: Robert (Latrice) Jr., Kevin, Jerry, Dorian, Natasha, Ophelia, Lynn, Heather (Quincy), Justin, and Jessica; grandchildren: Martice, Jason, Xavier, Jalen, DeVion, Danielle, Dylan, Mason, 9 additional grandchildren; and 6 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Andre, first wife Yvonne, and second wife Patricia.
Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of Mercy and/or the charity of the donor's choice.
