Ricky "Rick" Neal, 56 of Norway, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. Celebration of life services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW in Cedar Rapids. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Anderson Cemetery near Swisher. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements. Rick was born August 4, 1958 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Norman and Doris (Strong) Neal. He attended College Community grade school and graduated from Cedar Rapids Kennedy in 1977. Rick worked for many years with his dad installing flooring at Neal's Carpet Service. Later he worked at Frontier Co-Op in Norway. He enjoyed camping, watching movies, model trains, and most of all the time spent with his friends and family. Rick is survived by his father, Norman Neal of Swisher; his brother, Steve Neal of Iowa City; his sister, Karen McVeigh of Wasilla, Alaska; along with his aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Neal and his sister, Janice Strickler. Memorials may be directed to the family.
