Richard "Rick" M. Wilson, 68 of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at his residence, surrounded by his family. As per Rick's wishes there will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Saturday, July 7th from 1 to 4 p.m. at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Richard was born January 8, 1944 in Connecticut, the son of Frank and Helen (Pavlik) Wilson. He moved to Iowa and attended Parsons College in Fairfield. He moved to Cedar Rapids and worked for Quaker Oats for over 25 years, and then NCS Pearsons until retiring in 2008. Rick married Nikki Prochaska on November 29, 1986 in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed all sports, going Jeep four wheeling in Colorado, fishing, hunting, raising greyhounds, bowling, the outdoors and spending time with his family. Rick is survived by his wife Nikki; children Laura King and David (Mardell) Wilson of Illinois, Neil Wilson of Cedar Rapids, Zac (Nicole) Fowler of Cedar Rapids; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Helena, and a step-father Carmine Pirone. Memorials may be directed to the family.
