Richard Gordon Terrell, 63, of Washington, formerly of Cedar Rapids and Swisher, died Sunday, June 2, 2013. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will be Anderson Cemetery near Swisher. Visitation will be an hour prior to services Wednesday at Brosh Chapel. Richard was born May 28, 1950, in Iowa City the son of Richard "Dick" and Sherrill (Harding) Terrell. He graduated from Prairie High School in 1968. Richard worked for many years at his father's family business and various construction companies in the Cedar Rapids area. He enjoyed fishing, horses, riding his motorcycle. Richard is survived by his father Richard "Dick"; his brothers Tom (Dawn) Terrell and Tim (Lorrie) Terrell all of Swisher; his sisters Pam (Richard) Leichsenring of Amana and Becky (Tim) Weyer of Oregon as well as several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his mother Sherrill and his grandparents. Memorials may be directed to the family.
