Richard "Rhino" Jensen, 66 of Cedar Rapids, died suddenly on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center.  Celebration of life services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2016 at Brosh Chapel.

Richard was born December 30, 1949 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Richard B. and Marjorie H. (Stahle) Jensen. He played football for Washington High School (where he earned all state and all conference) and Coe College where he earned the nickname "Rhino". He also coached and played many sports throughout his lifetime. He married Marsha L. Hagerman on May 21, 1988 in Cedar Rapids. Throughout the years Rhino worked at several area car dealerships. Rick was a kind hearted man that could melt your heart with his smile. He loved playing euchre and going to the casino. He was an avid Hawkeye and Braves fan. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rhino is survived by his wife Marsha; daughters Sabrina (David) Brown and Heidi (Pat) Liegl; son Adam (Dina) Jensen; step daughters Lisa (Troy) Goodfellow-Mertens and Kathleen (Dan) Sturm; grandchildren Claire, Jacob, Aimee, Wyatt, Danielle, and Ben; sister Dianna Jensen; and many cousins.

Rhino was preceded in death by his parents.
