Richard M. Haag, 76 of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Private family services will be held in Dunkard Cemetery in Midway. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements. Richard was born May 13, 1934 in Lennox, the son of Fred and Mildred (Beck) Haag. He married Nancy Paul on July 20, 1957. Richard worked at Rockwell Collins as a lab technician for 36 years. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the NRA and the C.R. Izaak Walton League. He was also a member of the Cedar Rapids Elks Club and the Otter Creek Sportsman Club. Richard enjoyed trap shooting and his trips to South Dakota prairie dog hunting. He always tried to do what was right. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Richard is survived by his wife, Nancy and sons, Kevin Haag and Richard Mark (Cathy) Haag all of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to your local Salvation Army.
