Richard O. Edaburn, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, October 19, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will be in Dunkard Cemetery, Midway.

Richard was born September 16, 1928 in rural Toddville, the son of Orval and Ruth (Wright) Edaburn.  Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from June 16, 1947 – June 16, 1950.  He farmed and worked at Cherry Burrell and FMC Linkbelt Speeder.  Richard was a seventeen year member of Elks Lodge #251, and a longtime member of Solo's Club.

Richard is survived by his son, Greg of Plano, Texas; sister-in-law Patricia Edaburn; nephews Dale (Lori) Edaburn and family, David (Mary) Edaburn and family, as well as a special friend Georgia Roe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Steven, and his brother Melvin.
