Regina Lucille Klekar, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday April 29, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Private graveside services will be held at Czech National Cemetery. Regina was born December 9, 1925 in Lost Nation, IA the daughter of William C. and Florence (Thompson) Jenkins. On September 27, 1947 she married Edward B. Klekar in Nashua, IA at the Little Brown Church. He passed away July 12, 1996. Regina worked for Kenwood Transfer for eighteen years before retiring in 1986. She was a fifty year member of the Gardner Chapter of the Eastern Star of Lost Nation. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Barbara Nienkark. She is survived by her sons; Steven (Maureen) of Springboro, OH, John (Barbara) of Cedar Rapids, Edward of Cedar Rapids, Kenneth (Susan) of Marion, two sisters; Dorothy Allerup of Riverside, CA, Eva Fuglsang of Dewitt, IA, seven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy, Cedar Rapids.
