Rebecca Faye “Becca” Netherton, 40, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on July 18, 2026.

Becca was born on January 22, 1986, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Sonja Brade and Leonard “Butch” Brade. She spent her life in the community she called home, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Over the years, Becca built meaningful friendships wherever life took her. She worked at Hacienda on 1st Avenue, where she formed many lasting friendships, and later became a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy. She was dedicated to her work and genuinely cared about the people she served. Her compassion, warm smile, and positive attitude made a difference in the lives of her coworkers, customers, and everyone she encountered. 

Becca had a heart unlike any other. She never met a stranger. She believed in people, never passed judgment, and welcomed everyone with kindness and compassion. Whether you were family, a lifelong friend, or someone she had just met, she made you feel seen, valued, and cared for. She truly lived by the words, “I’m just a phone call away,” and she always meant it. 

She was blessed with a large circle of friends, many of whom had been by her side for years. She loved to sing, dance, spend time with family and friends, and looked forward to girls’ nights whenever she could. She dreamed of traveling and seeing more of the world, always believing there was another adventure waiting just around the corner. 

Above all else, Becca was a devoted mother. Her children, Ian Watts (11) and Noelle Watts (9), were the center of her world. Everything she did was for them, and she worked tirelessly to provide them with a life full of love, opportunity, and unforgettable memories. She shared the privilege of raising them with their father and co-parent, Cameron Watts. 

Even in passing, Becca’s generous spirit continued to give. Through organ donation, she gave the gift of life by donating her heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, pancreatic islet cells, and other life-saving gifts. Her final act of selflessness reflected the way she lived every day—always putting others before herself and giving hope to those in need. 

Becca was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Rebecca Ann Griffith; her paternal grandmother, Miriam Brade; and her cousin, Keith Frondle. 

Becca is lovingly survived by her children, Ian Watts and Noelle Watts; their father and co-parent, Cameron Watts; her mother, Sonja Brade; her father, Leonard “Butch” Brade and his spouse, Terina Luse-Hemminger; her sister, Alicia Ennor and her spouse, Martin Ennor; her stepsisters, Tori Brade, Natasha Luse, and Jess Luse; her beloved nieces and nephews; her aunts, cousins, extended family members; and the many dear friends who became family throughout her life. 

Family and friends are invited to a public visitation on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, 2121 Bowling Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A private family viewing will be held one hour prior to the public visitation. 

A funeral service celebrating Becca’s life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at Seminole Valley to continue celebrating her life by sharing stories, laughter, and memories. 

Gone too soon, but never forgotten, Becca leaves behind a void that can never be filled. Her kindness, infectious smile, unwavering love, and generous heart will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through her children, her family, her friends, and the many lives she touched—and the lives she saved through her final gift of organ donation.
