Raymond Lewis "Pumpkin" Scott, 71, died Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation starting 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Marion First Baptist Church. Celebration of Life services will be at 1:30 p.m. with food and fellowship following the services at the Church. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family. Raymond was born October 22, 1943 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Chester and Morna (Crowe) Scott. He was united in marriage to Marcia Cummings on September 12, 1970 at Central Park Presbyterian Church in Cedar Rapids. Pumpkin was a lifelong roofer. He worked for Cedar Service Company for over 42 years. He enjoyed taking things apart, being outside, watching sports on tv, talking to his children and spending time with his family. Ray is survived by his wife Marcia; four children Kenneth (Kelly) Scott of Marion, Kristi (Chris) Dougan of Hiawatha, Kimberly (Kevin) Jacobsen-King of Cedar Rapids and Melissa (Dave) Thomas of Cedar Rapids; and his fifteen grandchildren. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Lynda Stuckey, and his uncle Frank Crowe.
