Raymond Paul Rios, 63 of Kalona, died Sunday, February 2, 2014. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW, with burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel. Raymond was born April 28, 1950 in Iowa City, the son of Henry and Bennie (Vasquez) Rios Sr. He graduated from Iowa City Regina High School in 1968. He attended Indian Hills College in Ottumwa, and received a degree in Culinary Arts. Raymond worked most recently delivering propane in the Iowa City area, until being disabled in 1993. He married Karen Tesar on December 30, 1985 in Cedar Rapids. Raymond is survived by his wife Karen; his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; eight brothers, two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sister-in-laws. Memorials may be directed to the American Kidney Foundation in his name.
