Queenetta was born on October 17, 1938, in Orville, Alabama, the daughter of William and Bertha (Pharr) Molette.
Queenetta Williams was a woman who loved her family unconditionally. Whether you were right or wrong, succeeding or struggling, her love remained steadfast and genuine. She never stopped believing in those she loved, and she faithfully lifted them up in prayer.
Queenetta enjoyed sharing stories from years past, especially memories of her time working at Quaker Oats and the many laughs and adventures she shared with her dear friends Ms Gertie, Ms Magnolia, Ms Janie, Ms Joyce, Ms Jan, Ms Louise, and Ron. Her storytelling brought joy to those around her and kept cherished memories alive.
She also shared a special love of bingo with her husband, Allen. Together, they enjoyed many visits to Meskwaki Bingo Casino, creating treasured memories along the way. Queenetta also loved playing the slot machines and often spoke fondly of her favorite machine, Triple Diamonds, where she enjoyed some of her best luck.
A woman of deep faith, Queenetta cherished her relationship with her pastor, Mother Beets. The two would often spend hours talking on the phone, sharing encouragement, laughter, and their love for the Lord. Their conversations almost always ended the same way—with a heartfelt exchange of affection: “I love you.” “No, I love you more.” “No, I love you the most.” This loving back-and-forth was a reflection of the special bond they shared and the joy they brought to one another’s lives.
As the matriarch of her family and the last surviving sibling, Queenetta carried a deep sense of strength, wisdom, and love. She took comfort and peace in her faith, knowing that through her love for the Lord, she would one day be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Allen, Son Lester and her siblings who had gone before her.
Queenetta’s legacy of faith, devotion, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Queenetta is survived by her children Debra Hughes, Lorenzo Williams, Donald (Deborah) Williams, Donna (Kevin) Flanagan, and Tynissa Williams; step-daughter Cheryle McGinnis; Grandchildren; great-grandchildren ; great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Allen Williams; son Lester Willliams; and her siblings.
