Phyllis J. Mackey, 73 of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital from a lengthy illness.  Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 30 at St. Ludmilas Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids where there will be a 6 p.m. vigil. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Phyllis was born November 9, 1933 in Ely, the daughter of Thomas and Rose Mrstik Mackey.  She graduated from Wilson High School.  Phyllis worked for many years at Wilson and Farmstead Foods and was a custodian at Prairie Middle School until her retirement.

Phyllis is survived by her sisters Pauline(Joseph) Becicka of Cedar Rapids and Bee(William) Leidich of Solon; her brothers Robert(Virginia) Mackey and Dave(Veronica) Mackey all of Center Point; as well as many nieces, nephews, greatnieces and greatnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Ruth Kinzey.
